Qualifiers Round 2: Warriors lose to Fer.Beira

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Very significant was Mozambican Fer.Beira's (#1, 2-0) victory against Mauritian Warriors 132-36. Fer.Beira dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Warriors' 24 and had 24 for 38 from the free-throw line, while Warriors only scored 0 point from the stripe. Fer.Beira forced 45 Warriors turnovers and outrebounded them 61-28 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Warriors' players. Ismael Nurmamade (184-91) scored 26 points to lead the charge for the winners and British-Canadian forward Jermel Kennedy (201-89, college: Lander) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals during the contest. Stephane Madelon (-97) responded with 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fer.Beira is looking forward to face Tigers in Cape Town in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Warriors will play against Matero M. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
